About Train For Aim

In a bid to inspire Egypt’s youth to take up sports and out of an unwavering belief in its responsibility in bettering society, MBC Hope-- an initiative of MBC Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility division-- will be the main sponsor of the TFA Triathlon this coming June. The challenging race, organized by the Train For Aim team, will kick off June 20th in Egypt’s Red Sea resort of El Gouna. MBC will be hosting a special coverage of the event as famed satirist, and MBCs own, Bassem Youssef, host of ‘El Barnameg’, will be competing in the race as well as participating in the day’s events. Participants in the multi-discipline Triathlon (which includes the sports of running, swimming and cycling) undergo a rigorous 10-week training period under the guidance of specialized professionals to ensure that they are at peak performance on the day of the event. The Train For Aim team organizing the sporting event came together in October 2012 and is the efforts of over 50 male and female athletes, with the number of participants increasing year after year. This is due mainly to individual athletes’ efforts and their insistence on taking part in international competitions and representing Egypt’s colors. Since its inception, the TFA team has strived to not only focus on training its athletes for events but to also make sure that one of their leading roles is TFA’s support of charities- as is the case with the Magdi Yaqoub Foundation which aims to spread awareness on heart disease and raise funds for heart patients in Egypt.
