Omar Samra – Marwa Fayed Toy Run Initiative

The Humanitarian Causes Award went to Egyptian explorer and adventurer Omar Samra for his volunteer project which carries the name of his late wife, ‘Marwa Fayed Toy Run’, and collects donations of second-hand toys that are then repackaged and handed out to less-privileged children in Egypt and all over the Arab world, spreading smiles and helping little dreams come true.

MBC Hope has announced the names of the winners of its first ‘Doing Good’ competition, launched by the Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR Division of MBC Group.
The Humanitarian Causes Award went to Egyptian explorer and adventurer Omar Samra for his volunteer project which carries the name of his late wife, ‘Marwa Fayed Toy Run’, and collects donations of second-hand toys that are then repackaged and handed out to less-privileged children in Egypt and all over the Arab world, spreading smiles and helping little dreams come true.
Samra emphasized that there can be no impossible with MBC, pointing out that the initiatives encompassed by MBC Hope have included every small social or humanitarian project whether catering to the individual or community, making this a true starting point to reaching and inspiring Arab youth in more countries, cities and districts.
Samra received a prize of SAR 100,000 in a bid to cover some of the production costs of his winning initiative and support its development.
