From the creators of the third part to the Terminator franchise (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines) comes the television series, which focuses on mother, Sarah Connor (Lena Headey) battling the rise of the robots to stop the impending apocalypse to the change the fate of her son John (Thomas Dekker).
This series is set after the events after Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). After the sacrifices of Dr. Miles Dyson and T-800 Model 101 Terminator, the Connors find themselves once again being stalked by Skynet's agents from the future. Mother and son are constantly on the run, taking up a new alias with each new town they go through. There is no time for normalcy, to skateboard, and barely enough for pancakes. There is definitely no time for marriage, despite Sarah getting proposals and from a guy John likes.
While fleeing a terminator sent from the future, Sarah, John, and Cameron (Summer Glau), a beautiful girl who has a mysterious past also linked to the future, make a temporal leap to the year 2007. Seeing how John is frustrated with their life of running, Sarah resolves to go on the offensive against Skynet. But the world in 2007 proves complex: they find Skynet has sent additional Terminators, including a T-1001 back in time to support its own creation, and the resistance movement has sent back its own fighters to interfere
With the aid of Cameron; Derek Reese (Brian Austin Greene), a Tech-Com soldier from the future whose past is linked with the Connors; Riley (Leven Rambin), a beautiful school friend of John; and FBI Agent James Ellison (Richard T. Jones), who is assigned to capture the Connors, but a run in with a machine just might make him switch teams, they begin a quest to stop the United States military and a shadowy conspiracy from the future from creating the program that will stop at nothing to bring humanity to an end.
