MBC as a pioneer in Arab media, now brings the irresistible show The Voice to Arabia and its audiences. The show is based solely on 'the voice' of the auditioning talents, as shown on the successful reality singing competition The Voice of Holland, which was quickly picked up by NBC and became an instant hit with audiences. Top Arab singers: Shirine Abdelwahab, Kazim El Saher, Assi El Hilani, and Saber El Roba'i are the coaches who try to recruit the best singing talents to their team, hoping that one of their team members gets named 'The Voice'

Season 1 of The Voice - Ahla Sowt promises the sweetest voices Arabia has to boast, with blind auditions having been performed in: UAE, Egypt, Kuwait, Tunisia, Lebanon and Morocco, the format takes these talents on a journey of self-discovery to unveil 'the voice' of this season.
Top Arab singers: Shirine Abdelwahab, Kazim El Saher, Assi El Hilani, and Saber El Roba'i are the coaches who try to recruit the best singing talents to their team and coach them through the competition. The contest consists of 3 stages: blind auditions, battle rounds and the live performances.
In the blind auditions all 4 coaches have their back to the contestant who tries to impress them with their vocal skills and choice of song. If one of the coaches is impressed enough by 'the voice' they will press the 'I want you' button which will cause their chair to swivel and face the contestant for the first time, adding the contestant to this coach's team. If more than one coach presses the button, then the choice falls back to the contestant as to which coach they want to work with. Of course if none of the coaches press their button, the contestant is eliminated. At the end of the blind auditions each coach will have a team of 12 talents.
In the battle rounds, coaches have to half their team; thus they will pit each two contestants against each other singing the same song in duet form in front of a studio audience. The better of the two voices will advance based on the coaches' decisions, leaving each coach with 6 voices.
The live performances stage will be a knockout until each coach is left with a single talent to stand behind. The 'final four' will have to dig deep to impress both coaches and audiences as votes from the public are a major deciding factor at this stage, until ultimately the public chooses one talent as 'The Voice'.
