October Road is a TV drama series that made its debut on ABC in 2007. It follows the details in the life of Nick Garrett [Bryan Greenberg], who after a decade returns to his hometown of Knights Ridge, Massachusetts.

The show was created by Andr Nemec, Scott Rosenberg and Josh Applebaum and tells of Nick Garrett [Bryan Greenberg] who is a famous author / screenwriter living in a beautiful loft in New York City. He suffers from writer's block, when he is not partying or attending social gatherings, but things weren't always like that for him. Ten years ago he left his hometown of Knights Ridge, Massachusetts to discover the world and search his soul. The trip would take him backpacking through Europe and would last a decade. On his return as a celebrity author and screenwriter, he moved to New York, where seemingly his writing-juice dried up.

When his agent books him to do a one-day writing seminar in his old town of Knights Ridge, a portal to his unresolved past is opened inside of him. When Garrett left ten years ago, he left behind his longtime girlfriend Hannah [Laura Prepon], his best friend Eddie [Geoff Stults], and his own family. Now Hannah has a ten year-old son, Sam, who Garrett suspects is his biological son. His friend Eddie is upset with Nick walking out on him ten years ago, and for seemingly making him sound like a fool in the book he wrote. Though Nick Garrett is excited to be home for the first time in years, it seems many of the townsfolk are a bit upset with his depiction of Knights Bridge in his best-selling book.

Upon learning that Hannah's son Sam, like all male members of Nick's family, has a nut allergy, Nick feels compelled to stay in Knights Bridge. Is Sam really his own? Does his old town want him back? And more importantly does he have the will to face up to why he left in the first place? Prepare to be entertained by this sweet and sour TV drama.
