Screened on "MBC4" on Everyday, at 01:00 GMT (04:00 KSA) "My Name Is Earl" is an Emmy Award-winning American sitcom created by Greg Garcia and produced by 20th Century Fox Television. The TV show combines the elements of comedy, crime and drama.

"My Name Is Earl", the runtime of which is 30 minutes, stars Jason Lee as Earl Hickey, Ethan Suplee as Randy Hickey, Jaime Pressly as Joy Turner, Eddie Steeples as Darnell Turner, and Nadine Velazquez as Catalina.

Lee stars in the title role as Earl J. Hickey, a petty crook with occasional run-ins with the law. He is a ne'er do well without a job or a direction in life. Instead, he spends his days drinking beer, stealing whatever isn't bolted down and being a leech on society.

Yet, his newly won $100,000 lottery ticket is lost when he is hit by a car. While lying in his hospital bed after the accident, he develops a belief in the concept of karma when he hears about it during an episode of "Last Call with Carson Daly".

He decides he wants to turn his life around and makes a list of all the bad things he's ever done.

Earl has a karmic epiphany, thanks to Carson Daly, who attributes his success to doing good for others. A light bulb goes off in Earl's dim head and he sets out to right every wrong he has done starting with a grade school geek.

After doing his first good deed, he finds his $100,000 lottery ticket. He sees this as a sign and, with his new lucky money, he proceeds to cross items off that list, one-by-one, by doing good deeds to atone for them.

Aiding him is his lifelong best friend and brother, Randy and an ensemble of characters to assist, observe, amuse, berate, or are just there for Earl Hickey.

"My Name Is Earl" won Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (Jaime Pressly) in 2007, DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy Series' (Marc Buckland) in 2006. It was nominated for Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Jaime Pressly) in 2008, and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy (Jason Lee) 2007.
