Though he tried to remain above and away from the rivalries of the Capulets and Montagues, Romeo's cousin Benvolio (Dash Mihok) and Juliet's cousin Tybalt (John Leguizamo) wreak havoc on the city with their gun battles, prompting the chief of police to render a final warning.

The Montague boys meet Mercutio (Harold Perrineau) who has tickets to the Capulet party, and it is there where Romeo (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Juliet (Claire Danes) lay eyes upon each other for the first time...
