J. R. R. Tolkein's epic novel 'The Lord of the Rings' continues in the second part of the now-classic film adaptation by Peter Jackson- The Two Towers.

In the fictional universe of Middle-Earth, where hobbits reside, and one hobbit especially, Frodo (Elijah Wood), is given a ring and told by the mighty wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) to keep it a secret.

During a previous war the Dark Lord, Sauron (Sala Baker), had the ring cut off his finger and so lost his power over Middle-earth, where it travelled through a long list of owners who coveted it, till it was handed over to Frodo.

It seems, however, that the Dark Lord has plans for the Ring again...

Sacrificing his life to allow the Fellowship of the Ring to escape the Mines of Moria, Gandalf the Grey is reborn as Gandalf the White. Meanwhile, Sam and Frodo are attacked by the creature Gollum, a former owner of the Ring. They capture him and convince him to take them to Mordor to destroy the Ring and with it Lord Sauron...
