One man's attempt to con a church congregation rejuvenates his faith.

Freddy Manning (Al Shearer) owns his own extermination business alongside his pal, Junior Walker (Charles Q. Murphy).  When the duo run into money troubles they decide to rob a liquor store, unaware that its proprietor is an Asian mobster.  Now Manning and Walker are $10,000 in debt, and face death if they fail to pay up.

For quick cash Freddy dons a minister's robe and becomes a preacher, modeling himself after profitable televangelists.  What begins as a ruse later becomes a genuine calling when Manning discovers that he has healing powers.
