The Good War documents the seldom-discussed presence of Italian concentration camps in the United States during and following World War II.  Some 500,000 Italians were held captive in the Texas desert during the war, most of whom signed a contract denouncing fascism to escape.

Around 5000 considered such an act treasonous however, and were imprisoned long after the war.  This is their story, and the story of an American officer assigned to guard them despite his own reservations.
