In Basin City, otherwise known as Sin City, common decency was overthrown by the almighty dollar long ago.  Three individuals coexist in the town though, all of whom are dedicated to enjoining justice in some form.

Bruce Willis portrays John Hartigan, a sixty-something policeman hunting a pedophile who has kidnapped an eleven-year old girl.  To further complicate matters the kidnapper is a senator's son, who regularly evades punishment.  Marv (Mickey Rourke) is an unattractive frequenter of prostitutes, whose favorite girl has been murdered.  Lastly, Clive Owen depicts Dwight, a former journalist turned private detective who benevolently oversees the city's sex workers.

Sin City won an MTV Movie Award and was nominated for three Teen Choice Awards.  The picture earned $158 million at the box office, nearly quadrupling its $40 million budget.
