Dubai, February 4th 2008 MBC2 Reveals �Movies in Motion� Competition Winners

MBC2 announced the final three winners of the 2008 Movies in Motion competition, running for the second consecutive year. Two minute movies were submitted by young students with little filming experience in the whole of the Arab world, reflecting creative directing and brilliant cinematography.

MBC2 announced today the final three winners of the 2008 Movies in Motion competition, running for the second consecutive year. Two minute movies were submitted by young students with little filming experience in the whole of the Arab world, reflecting creative directing and brilliant cinematography.

Prizes were given out to the winning students by the competition�s brand partners and sponsors .Cadillac gave out the 1st prize ,a new 2009 Cadillac CTS. All winning teams received MacBook Pros along with FinalCut Pro Software by Arab Business Machine, Apple�s representative in the Middle East, C905 Sony Ericsson mobile phones and SAE boot camp film making courses. In support of the many hidden talents, teachers and industry experts participated in the judging and short listing of the movies.

�We have been knocked out by the quality of this year�s two minute movie competition,� said Andrew Maskall, senior marketing manager at MBC Group. �Thanks to the support from schools and universities across the region we have received over one hundred entries. The best entries are so good that we will be broadcasting them on MBC2 and MBC MAX over the course of the next few weeks.�

�I Am Earth� by Youssef Taher and Dani Hasecic (1st prize winners from Cairo University), �Moment of Nidal� by Darin Sallam (2nd prize winner from Applied Science University in Jordan) and� Text Book Hero� by Jessica Rae (3rd prize winner from the British School Al Khubairat) received today the awards and recognition for their remarkable movies, which will be aired on MBC2 and MBC Max in the next two weeks to more than 40 million viewers around the world.
