(mbc.net) Meggie’s Dad Mo “Silvertongue” Folchart (Brendan Fraser) has a very special gift. He can infuse life into characters from fantasy books; all he has to do is read the text out loud. A gift he discovered by pure luck when he brought to life several terrible creatures while he was reading from the book “Inkheart”. However the plot thickens when he, somehow, read his wife and Meggie’s mother into the book, and he has been struggling to get her out without any luck. To complicate things more, the evil Capricon (Andy “Gollum” Serkis) is now determined to steal Mo’s powers in order to use them in his evil scheme of power and domination. The film is carried by amazing lead performances but also an amazing strong cast of cameos and secondary characters played by first class actors having more than fun playing those eclectic unusual fantasy characters, from Helen Mirren to Paul Bettany only to name a few. Embrace the kid in you and surrender to the fantasy world of Inkheart.
