When the undead rise, civilization will fall Dawn of the dead: Zombies invade earth

First-time director Zack Snyder remakes zombie master George A. Romero's classic 1978 gore-fest Dawn of the Dead, wisely replicating only the basic elements of Romero's movie, instead sticking to his own vision of a world overrun by undead flesh-eating creatures.

The action begins with a young nurse named Ana who is returning from a hard day at work. Wanting to go home and cuddle with her husband Louis. But not paying attention to an emergency broadcast telling the public about a deadly plague of flesh eating creatures.

Until the next day when the next door neighbor a little girl comes into their house and bites Ana's husband Louis in the neck. But Louis does not remain dead. Seconds later he is up and trying to bite Ana.

Luckily Ana escapes in her car and sees the public being eaten by flesh eating zombies. Until she crashes into a tree and is found by a police officer called Kenneth. They regroup with 3 more people and find shelter in a closed mall called the Crossroads Mall.

But when supplies start to run low, the group need another plan. Director Snyder gets the balance between humorous set-pieces and plot development exactly right throughout, producing an enjoyable remake that can easily hold its own alongside the deservedly hailed original film.

The movie was a box office success grossing $102,356,381.
