Conan the Barbarian 1982

A prehistoric warrior avenges his parents' murder.

Conan (Arnold Schwarzenegger) was born in prehistoric times to a noble group of metalsmiths.  As a child he witnessed an evil cult leader named Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones) brutally murder his mother and father.  Afterwards, Conan was sold into slavery where nonstop physical labor transformed him into a warrior of enormous strength.

His skill as a gladiator earns Conan freedom from his master, and he embarks on a quest to avenge his parents' deaths.  He will travel to Doom's temple and battle with the leader's followers, and eventually the wicked killer himself.

Conan the Barbarian was nominated for a Golden Globe.  The picture earned $69 million at the box office, more than double its $30 million budget.
