(mbc.net) Patience Philips (Halle Berry) is an artist and graphic designer whose shy and apologetic ways, along with her low self esteem, have relegated her hopes for producing meaningful art down to designing ads for a cosmetic company called Hedare Beauty.  The company's new revolutionary product is a skin cream named Beau-Line which is able to not only halt the aging process of the skin, but actually reverse all signs of the skin getting older.

At the wrong place at the wrong time, Patience overhears the company's lead scientist describe the harmful side effects of the cream to Laurel Hedare (Sharon Stone); apparently the cream is highly addictive and will cause people's skin to decay if they don't apply it regularly. What better marketing gimmick than having clients addicted to your product, and should they decide to stop using it their faces will fall apart like they've been attacked by acid. In any case Patience is discovered, and Laurel sends her minions to get rid of the pesky ad designer.

They drown Patience and flush her out, yet an Egyptian Mau cat transmits the powers of Egyptian goddess Bast to Patience's lifeless body, and she is resurrected as Catwoman...
