Carlitos Way: Rise to Power is a crime-action sequel to Brian DePalmas renowned film Carlitos Way. After controlling their criminal empire from the confines of the prison walls Carlito, Earl and Rocco are now out in the free world and ready to take on the drug trade in Harlem.

They have the experience and determination to take it over, but there is a power struggle between the Italian Bottolota family, headed by Artie Sr, and the blacks, led by Hollywood Nicky.

The seduction of greed and retribution are too strong to make Carlito and his brothers in crime back down. In a world of mistrust and deception, the trio can only guarantee rise in power by keeping their tight-knit alliance together.

Carlito is clever to gain more territory by tightening the tension on his adversaries and keeping the body count growing.
