A sophisticated romantic-comedy, and one of Eddie Murphy's least seen movies, Boomerang boasts a legendary soundtrack that topped the charts on its release in 1992; heralding Toni Braxton's debut with 'Love Shoulda Brought You Home' as well as songs like PM Dawn's 'I'd Die Without You' and Boys II Men's ' End of the Road' and Johnny Gill's 'There You Go', not to mention class acts by James Brown, Grace Jones, Babyface, Arrested Development, and George Clinton.
The film centers around Marcus Graham (Eddie Murphy) an ad exec that is at the top of his game, and his game. Reputed as the insatiable womanizer, Marcus is put in place when his new boss Jacqueline turns out to be the female version of him; using him when she feels like it and discarding him at will. His work starts to suffer and his boss' assistant, Angela (Halle Berry)- who he didn't even know existed- comes to his rescue.
