Loosely based on the epic Anglo-Saxon poem, Beowulf, comes this post-apocalyptic adaptation by director Graham Baker and starring Christopher Lambert, which sees the cycles of time return to the time of the sword-wielding warrior.

In the distant future, the world is formed of outposts that litter the landscape. Hrogthar (Oliver Cotton) is the king of one of the outposts, with his daughter Kyra (Rhona Mitra) being coveted by every warrior in the outpost. However, an evil called Grendel (Vincent Hammond) is feeding on both the warriors that defend the post as well as the outpost residents. Almost no one knows that Hrogthar's relationship with an ancient creature (Layla Roberts) produced Grendel. Yet one day a man comes forth, entering the outpost to put an end to Grendel and its terror- that man is Beowulf (Christopher Lambert)...
