Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowry are two south Miami cops who are in for a rough ride when $100 million of heroin is stolen from their departments evidence room. When Mike enlists the help of Max, a sexy female friend, who happens to be an escort, she winds up shot dead by the same people that stole the dope.

There is one catch, however, there is one eye witness to Maxs murder and to identifying the guys that stole the dope but she refuses to talk to any cops except Mike Lowry, who happens to be MIA when she calls the station, forcing Marcus to fake being Mike.

The problem with that is Mike is a tall, sexy and smooth talking playboy, while Marcus is a highly-strung married man, who has trouble connecting with the witness, but most importantly has to convince her he is Mike and pretend to be him until she can identify the master thief of the Miami underworld.

In a race against time, detectives Burnett and Lowrey must find the dope in 72 hours or risk having their department shut down all the while dodging bullets and bad guys and switching lives with married man Marcus forced to stick close to their only eye witness while playboy Mike moves in with Marcus wife and kids, maintaining the charade until the case is solved.

Will Smith and Martin Lawrences chemistry in this movie is undeniably brilliant and even earned them a nomination for Best On-Screen duo at the 1996 MTV Movie Awards.
