ATL is a coming-of-age tale concerning Rashad, played by Atlanta native and hip hop artist (T.I.) in his film debut, and his friends in their final year in high school and on the verge of adulthood.  The story line follows the daily lives of four young adults living in a working class neighborhood in Atlanta, where Hip-Hop culture and roller-skates are the main distractions. The action is mainly set in and around their local roller-skating rink as they are faced with problems and challenges in and outside the rink. The movie is heavily inspired by the film producer’s, Dallas Austin and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, (members of R&B group TLC) childhood memories.

The film has many high caliber cameos including Monica, Killer Mike and Jazze Pha among others. A coming of age story, set to an explosive Hip-Hop soundtrack, mixing crime and drama elements, will follow the protagonists as they try to defy the odds and their surrounding to cross the bridge into adulthood.
