Afraid that he may lose his job, Lance, an English high school teacher, dreams of becoming a writer as he teaches a not-so-popular poetry class at a school which his son Kyle attends. Deemed vile and offensive by almost all students and teachers, Kyle is foul-mouthed and addicted to violent video games and porn. Lance is probably the only person that tries to reach through to know and befriend Kyle, only for Kyle to reject him. When Lance walks into his room one night to find Kyle had strangled himself, he writes a suicide note and hangs him in the closet to preserve his image. Somehow the note resonates in a major way with the faculty and students, who award Kyle a post-mortem cult status as a misunderstood teen. Lance writes a corresponding journal that is also attributed to Kyle, and for the first time ever Lance’s writing receives the fame and recognition he dreamed it would…
