A Navy SEAL Tackles Suburbia The Pacifier: From Special Ops to Mops

Shane Wolfe is a U.S. Navy SEAL with a history of risky operations, including protecting top government encryption expert Howard Plummer from Serbian rebels.

Shane Wolfe is a U.S. Navy SEAL with a history of risky operations, including protecting top government encryption expert Howard Plummer from Serbian rebels.

Wolfe fulfills his duty as expected, rescuing the scientist from an enemy boat. However upon attempting to board a helicopter and make an escape, the rebels shoot Wolfe and fatally wound Plummer.

Wolfe remains hospitalized while the scientists family does their best to recover from their patriarchs death.

Once recuperated, his superiors give the now disgraced Navy SEAL an unlikely assignment: to baby sit. Wolfe is temporarily assigned to watch over the Plummer household while the slain scientists wife, Julie travels to Zurich alongside Wolfes commanding officer, Captain Bill Fanchette.

Viewers may recognize Ford from her role as Corky Sherwood in the CBS comedy sitcom, Murphy Brown. With Julies assistance, Fanchette hopes to crack the password of the scientists Swiss safety deposit box and uncover any information regarding his supposedly unbreakable encryption scheme.

Meanwhile, in suburban Los Angeles, Wolfe resides at the Plummer residence to watch over the familys five children: Zoe, Seth, Lulu, Peter and Baby Tyler.

Covertly, however, he is attempting to locate the late scientists secret project entitled GHOST, which is hidden somewhere in the familys home.

Wolfe is not well received. Lacking any experience with children, he approaches his less than manly mission as if it were a military operation, identifying his subjects with unique code names including, Red One, Red Two, and Baby Red; collectively, the children are organized under the moniker of Team Red.

What was expected to be a short stay at the familys house extends into a weeks long venture. Fanchette and Julie remain in Switzerland, unable to crack the deposit boxs password as quickly as initially expected.

The mood at the Plummer house is positive though as the Navy SEAL warms up to the children and eventually becomes a meaningful member of the household in his own right.

Yet this is only the quiet before the storm; Wolfe will soon have to combine his newly learned family tactics with his combat expertise and redeem himself in the eyes of his country and the Plummers.

This film is rated PG due to some violence, language, and offensive humor.
