A hapless Midwestern couple, Henry Clark (Steve Martin) and his wife Nancy (Goldie Hawn) enter a spiral of mishaps when they decide to relocate to the Big Apple, from a delay in the flight, to losing their luggage, to cancelled reservations, to getting mugged, to their cab ending up in a wreck, to Henry being drugged and Nancy finding herself in group therapy, as everything that can go wrong, does in fact go wrong with their plans.

In this remake of the 1970 comedy by Neil Simon and starring Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis, Henry who's an advertising guy from Ohio schedules a job interview in New York, as he and his wife Nancy try to give their ailing 24 year-old marriage one more try.
