High fashion, low blows and the boss from hell The Devil Wears Prada: Hell on heels!

Andy is a recent graduate from Northwestern University who excelled in her studies, and maintained a position at the college newspaper. Studious and academically inclined she possesses little interest in fashion, nor its related publications such as Runway magazine.

Andy is a recent graduate from Northwestern University who excelled in her studies, and maintained a position at the college newspaper. Studious and academically inclined she possesses little interest in fashion, nor its related publications such as Runway magazine.

With that in mind her decision to apply as an assistant editor at the magazine is somewhat bizarre: how can a girl who admittedly loathes the superficiality of the fashion world contribute to an endeavor solely based upon it? Andy justifies her decision by hoping it is only a stepping-stone to a greater position.

Upon arrival at the magazines glitzy, big city office the prospective applicant doubts she will be hired, primarily because she is laughed at immediately after walking through the door.

Senior assistant Emily Charlton and homosexual art director Nigel are quick to highlight Andys lack of style; Emily is astonished upon discovering Andy has no idea who Miranda Priestly is, despite a desire to become her assistant.

Miranda, Runways editor, has garnered a reputation for cruelty and constant demand. Prior to interviewing Andy the editor had gone through numerous assistants, each unable to satisfy her seemingly impossible, never-ending requests.

Within only a few minutes Andy begins to understand the environment, and the tough regiment her soon-to-be boss will implement. Initially Emily is assigned to both interview and chose the boss next assistant, however after so many failed attempts Miranda insists on conducting the interview herself.

Andy is called into the office where there is no seat for her; standing, as if before a judge in court, the applicant makes her plea, admitting that she knows nothing about fashion, but she has the brains to make up for it and deserves a chance to prove it.

Andys bluntness pays off and Miranda hires the fresh graduate. She now holds a position that most girls, journalist or not, would dream of. Still, Andy considers the job an annoying beginning to her real career in journalism.

However despite her contempt for the fashion industry, Andy will soon find herself transforming into the shallow individual she previously abhorred. Will the burgeoning journalist forfeit her ideals for a lucrative career? If she leaves the position will the media mogul Miranda Priestly blacklist her from all of New Yorks prestigious publications?

The Devil Wears Prada was a runaway smash at box offices around the globe, raking in over $326 million in ticket sales throughout its run; $26.5 million of the films gross revenue came from DVD sales alone. Streep received praise from many critics, by some accounts out shadowing leading lady Anne Hathaway. It was nominated for 2 Oscars and won a Golden Globe.

The films soundtrack features a long list of contemporary pop artists including Madonna, U2, Alanis Morissette and many more.

This film is rated PG-13 for some sensuality.
