Young millionaire Howard Hughes (Leonardo DiCaprio) after already making a fortune by improving on the design of oil-drilling bits, decides to take Hollywood by storm and works on his first movie, Hell's Angels- a World War I epic of air battles that took 3 years to complete due to Hughes perfectionism as well as changing formats from silent to speaking film. He embarked on a relationship with Katherine Hepburn (Cate Blanchett) followed by a plethora of Hollywood starlets including Ava Gardner (Kate Beckinsale) while he was designing new planes and breaking speed records as well as flying around the world in 3 days. His big successes drew even bigger enemies such as head of Pan-American Airlines Juan Trippe (Alec Baldwin) and his friend Senator Owen Brewster (Alan Alda)...
