Saffet Ercan (Ferhan Sensoy) has just returned to Turkey after an extended stay abroad. He's found work as a university lecturer and attempts to inspire a new generation of youths. Sensoy's character comes from a troubled past however: in the seventies Saffet, along with four other friends, were political dissidents whose activities infuriated Turkey's government. While Saffet's comrades later abandoned their radical ideas for more orthodox, bourgeois lifestyles, he remained true to his core beliefs for the following three decades, regardless of the consequences. In parallel we meet Ulas (Kaan Urgancioglu), one of Saffet's students whose father accompanied the professor during his college years. Despite being unaware of their relationship to one another, Ulas and Saffet begin to form a unique bond. Unbeknownst to Saffet, his college pals have recently reunited, though they were unable to locate him. Ulas, whose friends oddly resemble his father's, will accidentally join two generations of Turkish students. Unfortunately the reunion may be short lived and occur under less than ideal circumstances. Rating: N/A
