Erica Barry is a fifty six year old successful playwright who has given up on the idea of romance and dating, steadily focusing on her career and nothing else.

Dr. Julian Mercer is a wealthy young physician in the Hamptons who has a fetish for woman nearly twice his age.

Marin Barry is a twenty nine year old auctioneer who has a thing for sixty three year old Harry Sanborn. Before making love, the couple decides to visit the beach house in the ritzy Hamptons area of New York, which happens to be owned by her mother Erica.

After the two arrive and settle in they are surprised when Erica and her sister, Zoe enter the house later that night; Erica, a cosmopolitan lady, is comfortable with her daughter dating an older man and makes little fuss over his presence. Things get complicated though when Marin and her mature lover begin foreplay at bedtime � and Harry has a heart attack.

By Dr. Mercer�s request, Harry remains in the Hamptons for a few days to recuperate and Erica decides to leave him at the beach house so he can rest.

During those few days Marin�s mother becomes very close to Harry, and it soon becomes evident that they are attracted to one another � but Dr. Mercer, is interested in Erica. What follows is a battle between two men for a woman they both desire.

The film�s soundtrack includes music from seventies funk band Earth, Wind, and Fire, Marvin Gaye, The Flamingos, Louis Armstrong, Maroon 5, Paul Simon and many more. With a budget of $60 million, the film grossed $266 million worldwide; Keaton received a Golden Globe Award for her role as Erica Barry.

This movie is rated PG-13 due to sexual content, brief nudity and adult language.
