Sleepover (2004) features Spy Kids (2001) star Alexa Vega alongside Scout Taylor-Compton from 2007s Rob Zombie remake of Halloween. The teen adventure involves four soon-to-be high school freshmen competing to become the years most popular girls. School hotties Stacie (Sara Paxton) and Liz (Brie Larson) propose that Julie (Vega), Hannah (Mika Boorem), and Farrah (Taylor-Compton) compete in a teenage scavenger hunt; the winners of the hunt will be awarded a seat at the schools popular lunch table, while its losers will be doomed to a seat adjacent to a smelly dumpster.

The summer is coming to an end and three close girlfriends have a sleepover in honor of their soon departing friend, Hannah, who is leaving sunny California for cold Vancouver. Yet Julie and Farrah want their friend to go out in a blaze of glory, while they welcome the upcoming school year with an outrageous night of illegal antics. While Julies mom, Gabby (Jane Lynch) has a night out with her friends, the prepubescent girls plot the nights mayhem, unbeknownst to the house patriarch, who is busy installing a water purifier downstairs.

Ren (Sam Huntington), Julies college-aged brother is home for the summer and, as an act of generosity, agrees to cover for the girls while they are out, disobeying mom who insists the girls stay at home for the night. Together, the teens attempt to collect seemingly impossible items for the hunt including a photo with an older man, a hunks boxer shorts, and the prom King and Queens crowns. At the same time they must sneak into an adult-only club and avoid neighborhood security watchman, Officer Sherman depicted by Steve Carell of Bruce Almighty (2003), Anchorman (2004), and The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005) notoriety.

However before leaving the girls will need transportation. To overcome this obstacle they invite less-than-popular Yancy Williams (Kallie Flynn Childress) to the sleepover; pathetically desperate for acceptance she offers her fathers car to the crew, despite the fact that none of them are old enough to obtain a license, much less drive. Considering the obvious difficulty in obtaining the required items and pursuit by both law enforcement and Julies parents, will they be able to win the prized lunchroom seat?

Sleepover is rated PG for thematic elements involving teen dating, some sensuality, and language. Its runtime is 89 minutes.
