Shortcut to Happiness

A down-and-out writer sells his soul to the devil in exchange for fame and fortune.

In Manhattan, aspiring writer Jabez Stone is a complete loser: he is unable to sell his novels, lives in a lousy apartment and has no success with women.

When one of his friends Julius Jenson sells his novel, Jabezfeels envy and vows to do absolutely anything for success and throws his type writer out of the window, accidentally killing a woman.

Seconds later, the devil knocks on his door, saves him from jail and promises success and riches, the price of which is Jabez’s soul.

Jabez instantly becomes an overnight success but soon realises he made a lousy deal and seeks a way out through publisher Daniel Webster.

Rating: PG-13 for language and sexual content
