Hitting the dry well of storytelling inspiration a young man, Will Shakespeare, despite his fame as a contemporary poet finds himself struggling with finding the right words to express the images swimming in his imagination- until he meets the beautiful Viola de Lesseps…

Both these passionate souls are alive at a time when women are still not allowed to express themselves by taking to the stage as equals- only men, at that point, are allowed to perform as actors. A great admirer of the works attributed to Shakespeare, Viola is not about to let something as trivial as the wrong body parts from living her passion; thus she invents her own male alter ego- actor Thomas Kent. She tries to keep her identity secret, yet Shakespeare sees through it, and try as hard as they may, and with all the odds against them, they cannot deny they are starting to resemble characters from his romances…
