Frank Slade (Al Pacino) is a blind, hot-tempered, retired military colonel who few can tolerate. When his ordinary caretaker is unavailable one week, Charlie Simms (Chris O'Donnell) volunteers to earn some presumably easy cash.
Simms accompanies Slade on a trip to New York City, where the colonel spends lavishly and entertains himself. Charlie struggles to partake in the fun however, battling between maintaining his integrity and a chance to attend Harvard -- albeit at his classmates' expense. Regardless of Simms' decision, both individuals' lives will change by the trip's end.
Scent of a Woman was awarded an Oscar and three Golden Globes. The picture earned $134 million at the international box office.
