(mbc.net) The action takes place in 13th century England and marks the birth of the Legend of Robin Hood. The storylinestarts following the death of King Richard’s death in France, and sees archer Robin Longstride (Russell Crowe) and a group of men decides to come back to England. While on the way they encounter a dying Robert of Locksley after falling head first into an ambush by the traitor Godfrey (Mark Strong), who hopes to weaken the English defense in order to facilitate the French invasion securing good standing with the ruling side. Robin promises the Dying Knight that he will return his sword to his father Sir Walter Loxley. Yet when Robin reaches Sir Loxley’s estate the later asks him to impersonate his son so they won’t lose the land. Robin accepts the offer and finds him self instantly with a castle a title and a beautiful wife, Marion (Cate Blanchett). Very soon robin will find himself swimming in a sea of complicated politics, treacherous Barons and an invading French army. Follow the Birth of the Legend, and witness the transformative journey that will see Robin Longstride become Robin Hood Prince of the people.
