Reggie ‘Cool’ Coolidge (Dorian Missik) is an aspiring black actor. Only he can only find parts for African-Americans depicting them as gangsters, rapists; criminals in general- add to that the fact that he is not considered ‘black enough’ for those parts, plus the fact that he’s still living with his mom, and working at his soon-to-be-stepdad’s gas station, and you’ve got a very close picture of where he is at.

Out of the blue, Charli (Zoe Saldana), the love of his life that he hasn’t seen in three years, drives into the gas station and tells him she’s getting married to a lawyer named Ed (Hill Harper) in 38 hours. This is enough to send his whole world into a spin. It’s ‘action’ time now, or he shall forever have to hold his peace. And the countdown is on…
