At first it seems that Dr. Louis Creed’s worst nightmare is the highway that runs close to his new house in Maine after moving there from bustling Chicago. The family is introduced to the town attractions, including the Native American cemetery on the grounds. Yet when the doctor’s wife and children leave to visit relatives, their cat is killed by the roadside, and the doctor decides to bury it in the old cemetery. Yet the cat comes back the next day with a foul attitude. Trouble begins in earnest when Dr. Creed’s young boy Gage has an accident…
