One of the screen most epic Love affairs, Out of Africa directed by Academy award winner (Sydney Pollack) and one of the most loved films ever shot. The story as unbelievable as it is was inspired by the true-life events of Karen Blixen (Meryl Streep) a strong woman in a loveless marriage who, with her husband Bror Blixen (Klaus Maria Brandauer) owns a coffee plantation in Kenya around the beginning of the 20th century. What she didn’t expect when she first moved there is falling under the spell of the land, the people, the energy of the continent, and above all her attraction to a mysterious white hunter played by (Robert Redford). The film was a huge success with both audiences and critics alike, the movie went on to win several academy awards that year, including an Oscar for best Picture, Director, Adapted Screenplay, Art Direction, Cinematography, Original Score and Sound Design. And a movie that brilliantly passed the test of time, its context, and it’s times transcending into an epic love story and a reference in the genre. Not a movie you want to miss.
