Mr. Art Critic

MJ Clayton has earned a reputation as a scathing art critic, so much so his editor argues with him for his complete disregard for talent. On a retreat, in the local bar, he runs into an artist, Frank, who he’s just slammed so hard that the gallery took his work off, forcing Frank to a retreat of his own. Hungover the next day, MJ realizes what a fix he got himself into when drunkenly he wagered that he could produce better art…

MJ Clayton (Bronson Pinchot) has earned a foul reputation as a scathing art critic, so much so his editor argues with him for his complete disregard for talent. On a retreat to Mackinac island, in the local bar he runs into an artist, Frank, who he’s just slammed so hard that the gallery took his work off; forcing Frank (John Lepard) to a retreat of his own.

Hungover the next day, he realizes what a fix he got himself into when drunkenly he wagered that he could produce better art. And it all sinks in further with the delivery of the first box of art supplies, courtesy of Frank, who just happened to enter MJ in this year’s Mackinac Island Art Competition.

Enter the bashful, but extremely talented Lisa (Toni Trucks), who regularly wins the annual competition. MJ concocts a scheme where he pays off Lisa to produce the painting, which he shall enter under his own name in the competition. But there’re a million and one things that can go wrong, and something tells me it’s a sure probability…
