Donald has been lucky enough to overcome many, though certainly not all of the diseases common obstacles, so much so that he leads an autism support group. This is where he meets the beautiful Isabelle Sorenson.

Isabelle seems too good to be true; like Donald she suffers from the same form of autism. However, while Donalds autism is expressed in an obsession with numbers, Isabelles results in extreme creativity and awkward social outbursts.

Together the two soon spark a relationship, though Isabelle is frighteningly sexually forward, something Donald is not accustomed to. The relationship gets rocky when Isabelle, believing she is doing Donald a favor, reorganizes and cleans his bird-ridden apartment. Donald responds in anger and drives a wedge between what might just be a match made in heaven.

Mozart and the Whale is based on the true story of Jerry Newport, a man who realized he was autistic after watching the movie the Rain Man.

This movie is rated PG-13 for sexual content, language and some thematic material.
