Jeff Bridges in this academy award winner performance for best actor, at the 2010 Oscars night, playing Bad Blake a washed up country musician, at downside of a long a tumultuous life, both professionally and private life. With most of his life spent on the road in tour buses, and all the chaos that comes with such life style. Which probably affected his tormented love life, with few failed marriages already under his belt. Then like a breeze in his life appears Jean Craddock (Maggie Gyllenhaal), a curious young writer, who somehow was able to scratch and see beyond the shell of Bad. This connection will have deep consequences on his life, reconnecting him to a deeper side that will make him reevaluate what went wrong.
A superior Jeff Bridges at the top of his trade, delivering an outstanding performance as a broken man, filled with regrets and a melancholic hope, dim as it is. Robert Duval and Collin Farrell co-stars.
