Animal rights activist Paul Watson and 45 other volunteers set out to hinder a Japanese whaling fleet near Antarctica. As the crew is under-trained and under-equipped, they develop a combination of bizarre and brilliant tactics to stop the whalers from completing their mission. Finding the fleet proves to be an uneasy challenge as Watson’s two boats are too slow to chase the Japanese.

The situation gets increasingly desperate, with no country supporting their efforts to enforce international law, and weather conditions at their worst. Against all odds, however, Watson turns out on top.
