Moon Blake (Jimmy Bennett) has spent all his life in hiding in the woods and wilderness of Alabama, with his paranoid father. An anti-government extremist, who doesn’t trust the government and still clings on the most far-fetched conspiracy theories. But when the Dad dies following an untreated leg injury. Moon’s life is turned upside down, everything he knew just vanished, he follows the last advice given by his father, and heads to Alaska. His trek is cut short when he is captured and sent to a reform school, under the governance of mean spirited Constable Sanders (Clint Howard). Despite the harsh conditions, Moon will soon discover the meaning of friendship and with the help of his new friends manages to escape the grips of constable Sanders, and back on his quest to reach Alaska.

What follow, is an inspiring coming of age survivalist adventure, that will not only test the kids endurance but will also teach them lessons, they won’t be ready to forget any time soon.
