Tom (Kutcher) works a menial position at one of Chicago's biggest publishing houses. Terrified of his maniacal boss, Jack Taylor (Terence Stamp), Tom also daydreams about Jack's gorgeous daughter, Lisa (Tara Reid). One day, Lisa asks Tom to do her a favor and show up at her dad's house later that night. He thinks he's taking her to a party, but when he gets there, he realizes his true purpose: he's going to housesit while Jack leaves town and Lisa goes to the party with her boyfriend. Of course, Jack is militaristic in his cleanliness, as well as in his devotion to his pet owl, OJ. When unwelcome guests start arriving (Andy Richter, Molly Shannon, Carmen Electra, Michael Madsen), Tom knows big trouble is just around the corner. That big trouble is in the form of OJ, who flies out the front door after drinking a toilet full of cocaine-doused water. Eventually, Lisa comes home, forcing Tom to balance the chaos downstairs with the budding romance upstairs.
