A neo-noir Indian film, based on the highly celebrated film Chinatown by Roman Polanski as its source material, something the filmmaker didn’t try to hide, paying homage to Polanski by showing a scene from Chinatown on a TV set, during one scene. The action kicks in when Stayaveer Randhawa (Abhay Deol) a suspended Jr. Engineer from a small Rajasthan two, is approached by Manorama Rathore (Sarika) the suspicious wife of the Irrigation Minister of Rajasthan, to spy on her husband suspecting him of having an affair. However once he starts following his target, he is soon discovering that there is more to this than a simple cheating husband, and very soon he is entangled in a web of Lies, back stabbing and murder. You can say that it’s a bit more than he was prepared to face, nonetheless it’s too late now to back up. Follow this intriguing and riveting noir film, and dive head first in this moody crime thriller.
