The story line centers on Ashfaaq Khan (Ajay Devgn) a small town boy with big dreams of becoming a big super star. We follow him from his humble beginnings with a street theatre group, to his rise into the big super star now known as Samir Khan. However when he got to the top, he lost something in the process, his own self and moral. Now he is a mere personification of the many on screen roles he has played. And soon corruption becomes his best ally, alienating him as a result from all who loves him, including his own wife Sneha (Vidya Balan) who doesn’t recognize her husband anymore. But a shocking incident one night will change his life forever, when he witness a horrible crime, and finds himself in grip of a huge dilemma, torn between his persona and the man he used to be. Whether or not he will come to his senses, becomes the main focus of this very human drama. The struggle between good and bad was never as gripping.
