FBI hostage rescue team leader Jack Bender has been sacked for not being a team player, and months later he finds himself in the ultimate hostage nightmare, as a group of highly-trained and well-armed terrorists, led by Greg Gilliad (Anthony Michael Hall), seize the airplane on which he is travelling.

They threaten to detonate a nuclear weapon, unless they receive a billion dollars. Accordingly, all sides must race against the clock before the government's executive decision to blow the plane out of the sky is carried out, and Bender as well must re-immerse himself into a world he thought he left behind forever.

Will Bender manage to gain control over the plane? Or a disaster will take place?

The enemble cast includes Dean Cain as Jack Bender, Anthony Michael Hall as Greg Gilliad, Ernie Hudson as Agent Dawson, Lea Thompson as Alicia Bender, Sunny Mabrey as Sela Jameson, William Forsythe as Silas Jensen and Tracey Gold as Lina Howren.

The movie was released in 2008, with a run time of 180 minutes.
