Mark Wahlberg is an Academy Award-nominated American actor who grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. He was formerly known in his earlier years of fame as the rapper Marky Mark. Alongside his steady acting career, he is also a producer for film and television. Entourage is an HBO dramedy that chronicles the rise of a young A-list actor and his childhood friends from Bayside, Queens, New York. This story line is loosely based on Mark Wahlbergs life, where several characters are inspired by real life personas.

The show takes a look at the day-to-day life of Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), a hot young actor in modern-day Hollywood, and his entourage. He's brought with him from their hometown: manager Eric (Kevin Connolly), half-brother Drama (Kevin Dillon), and friend Turtle (Jerry Ferrarra). The series draws on the experiences of industry insiders to illustrate both the heady excesses of today's celebrity lifestyle, as well as the difficulty of finding love and success in the fast track of show biz. Now that the boys are getting used to the perks of stardom, Eric, along with superagent Ari (Jeremy Piven), keep Vince's star rising while making sound decisions for a long-lasting career in a world of fleeting fame.

The first season unfolded the conflict between Vince's best friend "E" (Eric) and his agent Ari, who are both working to get the best for Vince, but often differ on how to accomplish this. Billy Walsh easily found differences with E while directing the film Queens Boulevard which Vince and Ari chose as the next step in the rising stars career. Eventually, E was formally chosen as Vinces manager.

In this second season, Vince finds his career on unstable ground when Ari isnt able to close a major deal securing Vince with the lead role in James Camerons film Aquaman. Vince has to visit the director and personally convince him that hes the right man for the role, however that the leading lady set for the part, Mandy Moore, is Vinces ex-girlfriend could ignite some problematic sparks for the project. Later on in the series, a battle ensues between Ari and his boss and partner, Terrance McQuewick (Malcom McDowell) when they fight over Vince.

To date, Entourage has won a BAFTA for Best International Television Series, a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for Jeremy Piven, who also picked up three consecutive Emmy Awards for the same category.
