One man uses his experience as a professional stuntman to commit murder
Kurt Russell portrays Mike McKay, a killer who uses his stunt car as a weapon. McKay lures his victims into 'death proof' musclecars fitted with driver's side cages. This allows Mike to ram into vehicles, fly off hillsides, and other dangerous acts without any serious harm. The passenger, on the other hand, usually dies.
After murdering three girls in Texas and facing a stern warning from the town's suspicious sheriff, McKay heads to Tennessee and sets his sights on a new trio of victims. Unbeknownst to Mike, these ladies are thrill seekers in their own right.
