Interior Designer

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Job Objective:

  • Receive detailed event brief from either event manager or client (ensures all required information to complete a design is requested)
  • After studying the event brief prepare action plan of how to tackle the project:
  1. work to a brief, finding out the client's visual ideas and requirements
  2. inspect and surveying venues
  3. CAD drawings and venue images
  4. set schedules and firm deadlines for the project
  5. carry out research, to make sure that plans are technically feasible
  • Submit the action plan to event manager
  • Produce rough sketches, detailed layouts and a mood board - a collection of suitable images, colours and materials
  • Develop detailed designs, in Autocad and 3D.
  • Choose the most appropriate materials for the design and budget
  • Advise clients on progress, and provide them with samples of materials, specific pantone colours  and fabrics to be used
  • Submit the design and presentation as per Eventique’s standard and as per the deadline mentioned in the action plan.
  • Prepare all technical drawings and conduct meetings with suppliers and event managers to discuss the project build up and prices until the final step
  • Ensures the design and material used are within the client budget
  • Once event confirmed, attend production meeting with all suppliers and ensure an effective and smooth set up schedule (discuss safe detailed method of build up for each and every item)
  • Site visit to the workshop or warehouse to inspect safety and quality of production
  • Supervise the work as it is carried out on site ensuring full safety of the entire build up respecting deadlines.
  • Once images of event are received, photoshop and add Eventique watermark to them.
  • Update look of showroom on a monthly basis- use creative, fresh and new ideas
  • Keep informed regarding new materials and technologies from existing suppliers to be used in future event designs.
