Friday at 7 am, you are invited to run all over Cairo streets with thousands citizens who are interested in one common thing, Running.
Cairo Runners is the organizer of that running event every week; the story begun when Ibrahim Safwat the founder got inspired with the sight of a group of youth who were running in Paris without any boundaries; and an idea just popped on his mind “I want to run Cairo streets when I’m back”.
As soon as Ibrahim arrived to Egypt, he spread his idea on different social media platforms, and he succeeded to announce the date of the first running event in the country which was in December 2012. Though there were only 78 participants, it was the real start for the first 21 km- marathon in Cairo.
