MBC4 Launches “ET BIL ARABI” The new locally produced entertainment NewsMagazine in Arabic

CBS Studios International, and the Middle East’s leading pan-Arab broadcaster, MBC Group, announced today the launch of a regional format of the most-watched entertainment news magazine in the world, ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT (“ET”). The new series will be called “ET BIL ARABI” and will be produced in Arabic by Charisma Group out of its studios in Abu Dhabi-UAE. The show will premiere on the Group’s entertainment channel, MBC4, as of Sunday January 4th 2015.

“ET BIL ARABI” will run on MBC4, from Sunday to Thursday, with a 90 minute compile on Saturdays. The show - presented by Badr Al-Zaydan, Mariam Said and Nardine Faraj - will reach nearly 300 million across 21 countries in the MENA region and will cover the local news in the Arab entertainment industry, with a stream of news stories on celebrities, film, television, music, fashion, award shows and special events in a trend-setting, groundbreaking format.

“ET” is the No. 1 syndicated entertainment newsmagazine in the world.  The show entered its 34th season in the US on September 9, 2014.  In June of 2014, “ET” won its first Emmy Award for the new category of “Outstanding Entertainment News Program.”

On his part, Aiman Al Ziyoud, CEO, Charisma Group said: “We are very excited to give life to the Arabic version of ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT. The local version called “ET BIL ARABI” speaks for itself! “ET BIL ARABI” will be the second locally produced format, joining the successful “ET CANADA”, which has just launched its 10th season.
